Das Klima in Galați ist ein kontinentales Klima (Dfa) mit heißen Sommern und trocken-kalten Wintern. Die Temperaturen im Sommer können auf bis zu +37°C steigen. Die Winternächte liegen meist im Minusbereich und erreichen manchmal Werte von unter -10°C.
